Police fights against abducting and trafficking in children and women

Chinanews, Beijing, Jul. 28 – In recent years, Chinese police tries their best to fight against trafficking in children and women. Police has to deal with some 2,000 cases relating to trafficking in children and women in the past year.
Officials from the Ministry of Public Security revealed at a forum held by the All-China Women's Federation that there were fewer cases of human trafficking this year than the 1990s.
It's reported that the Ministry of Public Security had launched 4 special campaigns against human trafficking from 1991 to 2000. From 2001 to 2005, the ministry also launched such campaigns in Guangxi, Sichuan, Henan, Hubei and Sichuan.
Transnational human trafficking also emerged in recent years. As a result, the ministry has signed contracts with 41 countries to fight against human trafficking.
